City Phone Cross-Connection Cabinet
Centralized Monitoring System

I. System Scope:

The telecom Bureau performs the remote centralized monitoring to the local cross-connection door lock and provides a new and perfect maintenance management of cross-connection cabinet.

II.System Architecture and Functions:

1) Cross-connection cabinet: install electronic door lock and electronic lock control module. Insert iButton electronic cipher key to the lock or use the dictate from remote computer to open the door and monitor door status. And the lock signal and door status information are sent to the branch monitoring equipment through telephone wire.

2) Telephone Exchange Branch: install the monitoring equipment, branch front communication computer and back ground computer. The branch monitoring equipment receives the signal sent from the cross-connection cabinet and sends the signal to the front computer through RS-232 serial port, then the front computer passes the signal to the network management center of center bureau through network

3) Network management center of center bureau: install data conversion server, database server and monitoring terminals (back computer). The data conversion server comprehensively deals with the signals from the branch front computer and the related information stored in the data server and provide personnel dynamic information and maintenance information of cross-connection cabinet. The database server can connect tens of monitoring terminal computers (back computer). Branch and Center Bureau install back terminals, respectively.

4) The Terminal Computers Function:

- Use the animated cartoon or word to display the door's situation of relevant whole or partial cross-connection cabinet (open, close, illegal open, etc.) and the dynamic information of maintenance technicians - Send remote dictate to open cross-connection cabinet electronic lock
- Make statistics and provide cabinet working situation records as well as the staff working record report on the form of date, month and year, then print them out if necessary
- Make voice alarming when illegal opening happens
